Eh?

A  Little Canadian Humour,  Here is what Jeff Foxworthy has to say about Canucks.

If you’re local Dairy Queen is closed from September through May,

You may live in Canada.

If someone in a Home Depot store offers you assistance and they don’t work there,

You may live in Canada.

If you’ve worn shorts and a parka at the same time,

You may live in Canada.

If you’ve had a lengthy telephone conversation with someone who dialed a wrong number,

 You may live in Canada.

If ’Vacation’ means going anywhere South of Detroit for the weekend,

You may live in Canada.

If you measure distance in hours,

You may live in Canada.

If you know several people who have hit a deer more than once?  You may live in Canada.

If you have switched from ‘heat’ to ’A/C’ in the same day and back again,

You may live in Canada.

If you can drive 90 km/hr through 2 feet of snow during a raging blizzard without flinching,

You may live in Canada.

If you install security lights on your house and garage, but leave both unlocked,

You may live in Canada.

If you carry jumpers in your car and your wife knows how to use them, You may live in Canada.

If you design your kid’s Halloween costume to fit over a snowsuit,

You may live in Canada.

If the speed limit on the highway is 80 km –You’re going 90 and everybody is passing you,

You may live in Canada.

If driving is better in the winter because the potholes are filled with snow,

You may live in Canada.

If you know all 4 seasons: Almost winter, winter, still winter, and road construction, You may live in Canada.

If you have more miles on your snow blower than your car,You may live in Canada.

If you find 2 degrees ‘a little chilly’,

You may live in Canada.

If you actually understand these jokes, and tell them to all you’re Canadian friends & others,

You definitely live in Canada!
Eh? Pictures, Images and PhotosThanks Carol!

Toronto Hydro Hockey Wins Big

The Toronto Hydro Stars headed out to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan last week to take part in the 23th Annual Canadian Electrical Power Hockey Tournament.  The Stars hosted this event a few years ago, but the home ice advantage was not on their side, as they missed the chance to advance to the final round.  However, this year, for the first time in their 15 year history, the Hydro Stars not only made it to the “A” Division championship game, but they emerged victorious after winning in a shootout 5-4 against the Hydro Quebec Predeurs. John Riley was responsible for scoring the winning goal.   Look for the championship trophy to make it’s rounds throughout the various Hydro locations.  TEUCU is proud to be a sponsor. Congratulations to the players of the team.

Secure Codes for online shopping!

Some online merchants are now trying to reduce the risk of fraudulant credit card transactions by creating an additional verification called Secure Code. Members that have a CreditUnion Mastercard that make a purchase online will need to set-up a secure code through the following website www.securecode.com/cumastercard. Once registered, they will create their own securecode (minimum 6 characters), which they will input online when making a purchase. Again, this is only for those merchants online that have added this extra level of protection.

Test for Dementia

Below are four (4 ) questions and a bonus question. You have to answer them
instantly. You can’t take your time – answer all of them immediately.

Let’s find out just how clever you really are….

First Question:

You are participating in a race. You overtake the second person.
What position are you in?

Answer: If you answered that you are first, then you are
absolutely wrong! If you overtake the second person and you take his place,
you are second!

Try not to screw up next time.
Now answer the second question,
but don’t take as much time as you took for the first question, OK ?

 Second Question:

If you overtake the last person, then you are…?Answer: If you answered that you are second to last, then you are wrong
again. Tell me, how can you overtake the LAST Person?

You’re not very good at this, are you?

 Third Question:

Very tricky arithmetic! Note: This must be done in your head only .
Do NOT use paper and pencil or a calculator. Try it.

Take 1000 and add 40 to it. Now add another 1000 .

Now add 30.Add another 1000 .

Now add 20 . Now add another 1000

Now add 10 . What is the total?

Did you get 5000?

The correct answer is actually 4100.

If you don’t believe it, check it with a calculator!
Today is definitely not your day, is it?
Maybe you’ll get the last question right….
Maybe.

Fourth Question:

Mary’s father has five daughters: 1. Nana, 2. Nene, 3. Nini,
4. Nono. What is the name of the fifth daughter?

Did you Answer Nunu?
NO! Of course it isn’t.
Her name is Mary! Read the question again!

Okay, now the bonus round:

A mute person goes into a shop and wants to  buy a toothbrush.

By imitating the action of brushing his teeth he successfully
expresses himself to the shopkeeper and the purchase is done.
Next, a blind man comes into the shop who wants to buy a pair of
sunglasses;

How does HE indicate what he wants?

He just has to open his mouth and ask…
    It really is very simple!

PLEASE TELL OTHERS AND KEEP THIS GOING TO FRUSTRATE THE
SMART PEOPLE IN YOUR LIFE

Thanks for the wisdom Sharon!
